Notes:

There are two sets of rules and procedures governing protection, access and dissemination of WCPFC non-public domain data, to which the data access requests relate to:

1. 2007 Rules and Procedures for the Protection, Access to, and Dissemination of Data Compiled by the Commission 245.53 KB
   • Data RaP 19: relates to non-public domain data requests from CCMs for vessels flying their flag, covering vessels fishing in waters under their jurisdiction and/or covering vessels applying to fish in their national waters, unloading in their ports or transshipping fish within waters under their national jurisdiction (refer to para 19 of 2007 Rules and Procedures) and
   • Data RaP 29: relates to data requests from RFMOs under a data exchange agreement that provides equivalent data on a reciprocal basis (refer para 29 of 2007 Rules and Procedures)
2. 2009 Rules and Procedures for the Protection, Access to, and Dissemination of High Seas Non-Public Domain Data and Information Compiled by the Commission for the Purpose of Monitoring, Control or Surveillance (MCS) Activities and the Access to and Dissemination of High Seas VMS Data for Scientific Purposes 74.43 KB
   • Data RaP MCS 14 – 15: relates to non-public domain data requests from Members of the Commission to access Commission Regional Observer Programme data for use in MCS purposes (refer to para 14 – 15 of 2009 Rules and Procedures)
   • Data RaP MCS 17 – 18: relates to non-public domain data requests from Members of the Commission to access High Seas Boarding and Inspection Reports for use in MCS purposes (refer to para 17 – 18 of 2009 Rules and Procedures)
   • Data RaP MCS 19 – 25: relates to non-public domain data requests from Members of the Commission to access high seas VMS data for use in MCS purposes (refer to para 19 – 25 of 2009 Rules and Procedures)
   • Data RaP MCS 26: relates to non-public domain data requests from Members of the Commission to access high seas transhipment notices and declarations for use in MCS purposes (refer to para 26 of 2009 Rules and Procedures).
