Scientific Coordinating Group

Background

At its second session, held in Papua New Guinea in February 2002, the Preparatory Conference decided to establish a Scientific Coordinating Group (SCG) to assist Working Group II in carrying out those parts of its terms of reference which required special scientific and technical considerations.

According to its terms of reference, the SCG is to act as a sub-group of WG.II and is to report to both WG.II and to the Preparatory Conference. The terms of reference of the SCG are here.
