  WCPFC7 MEDIA ADVISORY / BRIEFING INVITATION

The Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) is convening its 7th Regular
Session, December 6 to 10, 2010, at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort, Oahu, Hawaii. This regional
fishery management organization will address international conservation and management
measures for Pacific bigeye tuna and striped marlin, non-compliance by member and cooperating
non-member countries, and the listing of illegal, unregulated and unauthorized (IUU) vessels,
which are prohibited from fishing in the WCPFC Convention Area. The WCPFC celebrates its
10th anniversary of the Convention on Highly Migratory Fish Stocks in the Western and Central
Pacific Ocean, which was signed September 5, 2000, in Honolulu.

What: Media are invited to participate in a briefing and question-and-answer
opportunity on the 7th Regular Session WCPFC.
