7th Regular Session of the Scientific Committee, Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia

The 7th regular session of the Scientific Committee of (WCPFC-SC7) will be held in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia, from 9 (Tuesday) to 17 (Wednesday) August 2011 with a Head of Delegation Meeting on 8 August 2011. The meeting will cover review of the Pacific fisheries; review of 2011 stock assessments for bigeye, yellowfin, skipjack, and albacore tuna; shark assessments; data gaps; and review of conservation and management measures in their scientific aspects. SC7 will apply a new structure where Biology, Methods, and Fishing Technology themes will not occur this year.
