Deadline for comments from Members on the Chairs proposal to convene a virtual Heads of Delegation meeting to discuss arrangements for the Commission-related meetings in 2020 and the expiry of the 3 intersessional decisions (issued 26 June 2020)

1. The Commission agrees to convene an online Heads of Delegation meeting no longer than 3 hours to consider the following matters:
a) guidelines for the scope of the agenda for the online meetings of the SC16, NC16, TCC16 and the WCPFC17;
b) guidelines for the format and structure (eg online discussion forum and / or video teleconference) for the online meetings in 1.a) above;
c) guidelines for the development of meeting protocols for the online meetings in 1.a) above; and
d) preliminary discussion on the status of the three interim Commission decisions as responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2. Should the Commission agree to the proposal in 1. above, the Commission tasks the Secretariat to organise the online Heads of Delegation meeting, in consultation with CCMs, and for the meeting to take place as soon as practicable, hopefully within one week of the decision to convene the said meeting.
